I was raised in a small mountain community outside of Yosemite, and quickly grew an aptitude for capturing my surroundings in creative ways. Through writing and photography I began to explore both my own life and the lives of others, a journey that has followed me into my current endeavors.
My work looks at those living in the margins who are often the most underrepresented in journalism. In particular I'm interested in expanding LGBTQ representation through multimedia formats.
I've attended the University of California, class of 2020, where I've studied Sociology with minors in Art and Professional Writing. In August of 2020 I will become a candidate for my Masters at Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism, class of 2022. My research looks at communities in California and Spain.
